Modifying Questions

Note: Questions cannot be added or edited in a running test without first removing all user data from the test.
If a Question Pool is modified, learner data will need to be removed from any test(s) using this pool before they can be re-synced to the updated pool.

Steps involved in modifying questions can vary depending on which view you are using.

Modify Question Content

To modify content of a question, the following steps will take you to the Edit Question tab:

Print View

List View

  1. Click the question you want to modify
  2. Click 'Edit'
  1. Click the question title of the question you want to modify

Move a Question

To move a question to a different position within the test:

Print View

List View

  1. Select the question from the ‘Jump to Question’ drop-down menu
  2. Click the ‘Move Question’ button
  3. Select the position you would like the question to take in relation to the other questions in the test
  4. Click ‘Submit’ to accept your change, or ‘Cancel’ to return to the Questions tab
Option 1: Using the check boxes beside the questions in the list:
  1. Select the question
  2. Select ‘Move’ from the dropdown
  3. Click ‘Execute’
  4. Select a target question either before or after the desired position the moving question will take
  5. Use the dropdown to select whether you want to move the question to before or after the selected target question
  6. Click ‘Execute’
Sorting numbers will reorder automatically

Option 2: 
  1. Using the sorting number boxes beside the questions in the list:
  2. Beside the question you want to move, insert the desired number related to the position you would like the question to take
  3. If other question positions will be affected by the move, you may need to change their sorting numbers at the same time for the change to take effect
  4. Click ‘Save Order’

Delete a Question

To delete a question from the test:

List View

  1. Select the question from the ‘Jump to Question’ drop-down menu
  2. Click the ‘Delete Question’ button
  3. Click ‘Confirm’ to delete the question, or ‘Cancel’ to return to the Questions tab
  1. Select the checkbox next to the question to be deleted
  2. From the dropdown, select ‘Delete’
  3. Click ‘Execute’
